Since its launch in 2009 by director, writer and cabaret producer Kim Edwards, Theatre Press has grown from a blog primarily focused on cabaret to a platform covering all types of performance taking place in Melbourne, Australia.

In 2017, Lois Maskiell took over as editor and helped expand Theatre Press’ coverage to include more productions by independent and major theatre companies as well as film.
